Everything you need for a perfect stay at Lake Paradis Domain.
Getting Here
Directions
Lake Paradis Domain is located in the Laurentians, approximately 15 minutes from Mont-Tremblant. Detailed turn-by-turn directions and the private gate access code will be provided via Airbnb messaging 48 hours before your check-in date.
Parking
There is ample parking for up to six vehicles on the gravel pad directly in front of the chalet. Please keep the turnaround area clear. Do not park on the grass or on the private access road.
Arrival
Check-in is at 4:00 PM. The gate code and key lock box combination will be communicated in your pre-arrival message. If you arrive outside normal hours, everything you need will already be at the property.
The Chalet
Entry
The front door uses a key lock box located to the right of the entrance. The code is included in your Airbnb check-in instructions. Please lock the door whenever you leave the property.
WiFi
WiFi credentials are displayed on the card inside the front door, and also provided in your Airbnb booking confirmation.
Heating & Fireplace
The chalet is fully heated year-round. The wood-burning fireplace in the main living area uses the firewood stacked on the covered terrace. A fire starter kit is kept in the basket beside the hearth. Please open the damper fully before lighting, and close it completely when the fire is out and the ash is cold.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped: cookware, cutlery, plates, glasses, a coffee maker, and a selection of spices. Please leave it as you found it. Garbage and recycling bins are under the sink and in the utility room — see the posted sorting guide.
Checkout
Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Please strip and leave used linens in the laundry room, wash and put away all dishes, take all personal garbage to the bins, and return the key to the lock box.
Lake & Trails
Getting to the Lake
The lake is a 3-minute walk from the chalet via the marked path that begins at the south side of the property. Follow the wooden post markers through the meadow. The floating dock and canoe launch are on the east shore.
Swimming
The lake is spring-fed and clean. There is a marked swimming zone from the dock. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times near the water. Swimming after dark is not permitted.
Trails
A printed trail map is displayed inside the chalet and available in the welcome binder. All trails are marked with coloured posts: blue for the lakeside loop, red for the forest trail to the canyon, and yellow for the mountain viewpoint.
Safety
Wear appropriate footwear on all trails. Tell someone where you are going before heading out on the longer routes. Cell reception is limited in forested areas — a charged phone and a whistle are recommended on hikes over 30 minutes.
Equipment
Hot Tub
The hot tub is located on the east side of the terrace and is pre-heated to 38°C (100°F) for your arrival. The control panel is on the side panel — use the + and − buttons to adjust temperature. The cover lifter is attached to the right side. Please replace the cover after each use to maintain heat and keep debris out. Maximum 6 persons at a time.
Do not use the hot tub if you are pregnant, intoxicated, or have cardiovascular conditions. Shower before entering.
Canoe & Kayak
Two canoes and one kayak are available, stored beside the dock. Life jackets are in the dock storage box — one per person is required. Please drag the canoes above the waterline when finished. Do not paddle after dark.
Fire Pit
The stone fire pit is in the forest clearing, a 2-minute walk west of the chalet. Firewood is stacked nearby. Never leave a fire unattended. Extinguish completely with water before leaving — no smouldering coals. Check local fire ban status before lighting; information is posted on the chalet notice board.
Emergency & Safety
Emergency Services
Emergency: 911 (police, fire, ambulance)
Cell reception at the chalet is generally adequate. In case of poor signal, move to the open meadow south of the chalet for the best reception.
Nearest Hospital
Centre Hospitalier Laurentien is approximately 30 minutes from the property. Full address and map link will be posted on the chalet notice board.
Host Contact
For non-emergency property issues, contact us via Airbnb messaging. A host contact number for urgent matters is provided in your booking confirmation.
First Aid
A fully stocked first aid kit is located in the kitchen cabinet above the refrigerator. A fire extinguisher is mounted beside the kitchen doorway.
Fire Safety
Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are installed throughout the chalet. Do not disable them. The emergency exit plan is posted on the back of each bedroom door. Assembly point is the gravel parking area.
